We were commissioned by Holkham Estates to provide full Civil and Structural Engineering services as well as a Contract Administration role for their project ‘The Lookout’. The project involved the construction of a bespoke Visitors Centre at the end of Lady Anne’s Drive, a tourist hotspot with parking facilities and access to Holkham beach, to provide interpretation of the surrounding wildlife as well as much needed toilet and café facilities.  With its circular shape and central circular courtyard, the finished building creates quite a statement. Further to achievement of the RIBA East Award 2019, the project has now been awarded North Norfolk District Council’s Graham Allen Award, an esteemed award given each year to the project considered to have made the most significant contribution to the built environment within the district.

Another project that we also provided Structural Engineering services on, The Mews, was awarded the Commended prize for Conservation and Design. The Mews is a development by Wilkinson Builders (Reepham) Ltd of 10 contemporary homes located off Barons Hall Lane, Fakenham.
