Academic/Professional Qualifications (September 2015 – September 2016)< Back

Throughout the academic year, September 2015 – September 2016, many of our staff have achieved both professional and academic qualifications which we are extremely proud of them for. Sponsored by Plandescil, they have undertaken various part-time courses to give us a wider range of knowledge and expertise to offer to our Clients.

Professional Qualifications

Our Director of Surveying, Carl Jenkins, became a Chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered surveyors (RICS) following 25 years at the Company. Another member of our surveying team, Matt Girling, has also become an RICS Associate.

Head of our Environmental Department and Director, Sally Hare, became a Chartered Scientist. Also on the environmental team is Hannah Ewart, who became a Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (PIEMA), joining our Environmental Consultant, Jemma Gooch-Boags.

Two of our directors achieved their Incorporated Engineer Status (IEng); Olly Jones with The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Matt Hare with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

We had two members of staff achieve their Engineering Technician (EngTech) status this year; Senior Technician Iain Crawford with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and Technician Alex Fitzgerald with the IMechE.

Academic Qualifications

Director, Richard Simmons, completed his Masters Degree (MSc) in Civil Engineering and Project Management this year and his team member, Iain Crawford, finished his Foundation Degree in Civil Engineering. Rhys Williams also completed his Honors Degree in Civil Engineering and is now furthering this with his Master Degree.

Alex Fitzgerald achieved his HND in Civil Engineering and is now progressing onto a degree this year. For his outstanding hard work during his HND, Alex was presented with Norwich City College’s 2016 Annual Award for Excellence which is the second time he has achieved this throughout his education.

We look forward to being able to congratulate more of our staff next year when they too have completed their courses and achieved their professional qualifications.
